2017考研英语经典长难句分析(十)

　　长难句虽然不作为单独考查的内容出现在考研英语真题的试卷中，但是它却渗透到了各个专项中，比如，阅读，翻译，完形，甚至是新题型。如果长难句这个障碍疏理不掉的话，做题时，会困难重重。鉴于此，武汉文都考研老师精心为考研学子挑选出一些经典的考研英语长难句，有特点的长难句，就相关知识点进行剖析，希望能助大家一臂之力。

　　【经典难句一】

　　New ways of organizing the workplace—all that reengineering and downsizing—are only one contribution to the overall productivity of an economy, which is driven by many other factors such as joint investment in equipment and machinery, new technology, and investment in education and training.

　　【结构剖析】

　　主干为ways are only one contribution，破折号中间的为插入语。which为非限定性定从句，which指代economy, such as....作为后置定语修饰factors.

　　【猜词技巧】

　　organize本义是“组织”，由于其后面的宾语是workplace，进行转译即为“重组，整顿”

　　【翻译点拔】

　　which is driven by...被动语态的处理，尽量少出现“被”，此处处理为“由……所”。英语中两者的并列是A and B, 如果是三者的并列，应该是A, B and C, 或者A, B, and C.句中joint investment in equipment and machinery, new technology, and investment in education and training虽然有多个and, 中心词应该是investment, new technology, and investment。

　　主干为 the theft overshadowed a decision, 两个逗号中间的disclosed on June 17th为插入语。a day earlier by America’s....为状语，第一个that引导定语从句修饰decision, 这里发生了分隔。定语从句中又嵌套了that引导的同位语从句，其中入套了一个if引导的条件状语从句。

　　hugely作为副词去修饰形容词important，直接处理为“非常重要的”。

　　【翻译点拔】

　　put sb on notice意为“警告某人”, fail to do sth. “未能做某事，不能做某事”，if引导条件状语从句，译的时候要调序。
